Hu always attend party class

Speaking from Chairman Mao's love of reading

-- How ordinary party members can improve themselves by learning to arm their minds

Jin Huasheng Party Branch Secretary: Hu Guangjin

To teach party lessons, one must first understand the Communist Party of China. To understand the Chinese Communist Party, Chairman Mao is the object we must understand. In our party class today, we will tell the story of Chairman Mao's reading.

Chairman Mao especially loved reading all his life. In his youth, he used to read books by the busy roads, under the dim street lights, and even hid in the toilet. After the founding of New China, he always made time to read. There were books in his residence, on the bed, on the desk, in the rest room, and even in the bathroom. He would read whenever he had free time.

Whenever he was immersed in the book, Chairman Mao forgot to eat. The staff urged him. He always smiled and said, "There is still a little bit left. Eat after reading." In the few minutes he warmed up before swimming in the water, he sometimes read a few famous poems. After swimming up, he took no rest and picked up his books again. He never wasted a few minutes on the toilet.

From marching to going on business trips after the founding of New China, Chairman Mao brought a lot of books. The train jolted and bumpy on the way, and he ignored it and kept reading. When you go out of town, just like in Beijing, there are books on the bed, desk, coffee table, and dining table. One summer, he went to Wuhan on business. In the big "stove", he insisted on reading every night, and sweat continued to flow down his cheeks. He jokingly said to the staff: "Reading and studying also have to pay a certain price, shed sweat, in order to learn knowledge!"

Although Chairman Mao was seriously ill in his later years, he still did not forget to read. Once, he had a fever to more than 39 degrees, the doctor did not allow him to read. He said sadly, "I love reading all my life. Now you don't let me read. You tell me to lie here and eat and sleep all day. You know how miserable I am!" The staff had no choice but to put the book away by his side again, and he smiled happily. In 1975, after his eye surgery, his eyesight recovered, and he began to read a lot. Sometimes he even read for more than ten hours a day, and even when he was lying in bed to take his blood pressure, he still couldn't release the volume. According to the nurse beside Chairman Mao, he was studying until his death.

Chairman Mao likes reading Marxist-Leninist works. The first book he read was the Communist Manifesto. During the Yan'an period, he liked to read Lenin's works the most. The most frequently read were "Two Strategies", "Left" Infantile Disease, "State and Revolution", "Imperialism is the Highest Stage of Capitalism", "Philosophical Notes", etc. In particular, he not only read "two strategies" and "leftist" infantile disease, but also recommended it to other comrades.

Chairman Mao also likes to read philosophy, economics, Chinese history and modern political works, while books on Chinese history and ancient Chinese literature are his favorite. When he was a child, he was fascinated by books such as "Water Margin", "Journey to the West", "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", "Jingzhong Yue Zhuan", and "Sui and Tang Dynasties. He also loved to read Lu Xun's books. Until the eve of his death, the bed, the table beside the bed, and the bookshelf were still placed with the newly published large-character "Complete Works of Lu Xun".

It is a major feature of Chairman Mao's reading that he does not move his pen and ink. When he was reading, he often circled and sketched the pages, leaving his own thoughts or comments. When he was studying the "Principles of Ethics" by the German ethicist Pauersheng during his studies in the First Division of Hunan, he wrote a 12000-word reading note on the page. After leading the Red Army's Long March to northern Shaanxi, he left many reading symbols on the pages of the philosophy textbooks he had read, such as horizontal lines, vertical lines, oblique lines, wavy lines, triangles, boxes, circles, dots, hooks, forks and question marks. Wait. In addition, when he was reading, he carefully corrected some of the wrong words and punctuation marks in the original book. He has read the Manifesto of the Communist Party more than 100 times. When he wrote the theory of new democracy, he read the Manifesto of the Communist Party many times.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Chairman Mao made many comments when he was reading. Every time he read a book, he used to draw a circle on the cover page. From the books preserved in the former residence of Zhongnanhai, you can see that there are four or five circles on the cover pages of many books. For example, Li Da's "Sociology Outline" has been read more than 10 times. He has read at least 10 different versions of A Dream of Red Mansions. When he read the complete works of Han Changli's poems and essays, except for a few chapters, he carefully pondered and studied them one by one, from vocabulary, sentence reading, chapters to the meaning of the full text. He said that he had read "Zi Zhi Tong Jian" 17 times in his life. In modern political works, he is very fond of reading Zheng Guanying's "Prosperous Times", Kang Liang's reform and reform works, especially Liang Qichao's "Xinmin Cong Bao", and he can recite some good articles.

Chairman Mao was good at independent thinking when he was reading. Especially when reading history books, he placed the books he read in an appropriate historical background, paying attention to grasping the characteristics of the times, social conditions and the author's conditions, writing motivation, guiding ideology and purpose of the book. With his own special value orientation, he learned the way of historical rise and fall from the book, through commenting on the political affairs of the past dynasties, understanding the negative figures, drawing lessons from experience, realizing the political strategy he needed, and inspiring his own new ideas and concepts in the dialogue with the ancients.

It is impossible to estimate how many books Chairman Mao read in his lifetime. He can become a great proletarian revolutionist, strategist and theorist, lead the Chinese people to establish a new China, and become a great man of a generation. In addition to other reasons, his love of reading is probably one of the important reasons.

The story of Chairman Mao's love of reading is over, so what inspiration can this story bring to our party members? What insights? What can we learn? I have four insights to share with you:

1) The need for learning. Chairman Mao said such a famous saying: it is never too late to learn. Also joked: three days do not study, can not catch up with Liu Shaoqi! This shows the importance, necessity and urgency of learning to a party member, and it is also the requirement of the chairman to our ordinary party members.

-- The 20th National Congress has been held. As a member of the Communist Party, how much have you learned about the Party's knowledge, its policies, and the important speeches of General Secretary Xi? How much have you mastered? A new era party member is not a qualified party member if he does not study, understand, or know the party's line, principles and policies......

-The times are developing and the society is progressing. If you don't study, you will not progress, your thoughts will be rigid, and you will be eliminated by the times......

2. Learning contents and methods.

-- Learning the knowledge of the party. If the conditions are good, you can learn by turning on your mobile phone. For example, you can learn from General Secretary Xi's important speeches when he visited Peking University, Petroleum University, and Xinjiang University. These are all the latest party knowledge. I don't know if you have studied hard, but I have studied hard several times......

-- Learning professional knowledge. During the training and the speeches of the project departments, departments and leaders at the big shift meeting every Monday, you can learn my working methods, management methods, problem-handling methods, the new situation and new spirit of the company and the industry. as long as you learn and be a willing person in learning, you can learn knowledge and enhance your own skills all the time.......

-Learn from old party members and the outstanding people around you......

Here we ask every party member, especially young party members, to brush less trembles and learn more about the party. In the long run, there will be benefits and progress.

3, learning to apply.

-- After learning the theoretical knowledge of the Party, one must change oneself, how? What is the standard? We often say that Party members come from the masses but are above them, and should not be confused with the masses, let alone let the masses say: even we are inferior to the masses.

Our Jinhuasheng party members "take the lead in setting an example and taking the lead in emergencies and dangers" is the gold standard for testing whether you are a qualified party member!

Have you pushed the tasks arranged by the leaders from three to four? Are you unconditionally and on time to fulfill the targets issued by the company? Are you in the same boat when the company encounters difficulties? And so on, these are the touchstones to test your learning achievements and whether you are qualified as a Communist Party member.

4, learning to work for a long time, perseverance. General Secretary Xi said: Learning should be done to "grasp the iron with marks and step on the stone to leave marks". You must not learn to fish in kittens, or fish for three days and dry the net for two days. You must have a planned and purposeful way, and you must persevere and persevere. Insist on 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, will be effective.
