Good News: The Company's Liberia Bong Mine Project Has Initial Results

On April 5, Wuhan Jinhuasheng Liberia Company received a return of US $55000, which was the first return received by Liberia Company, marking the normal operation of another overseas project in Wuhan Jinhuasheng, increasing revenue and creating benefits.

In recent years, the domestic traditional industry competition is fierce and serious. Faced with the severe market situation, the company changed its business strategy, followed the national "the belt and road initiative" strategy, went abroad to explore overseas markets, completed the operation and maintenance service of Guinea Dasan Railway, participated in the laying of Indonesia's Yawan high-speed railway, and undertook the repair and operation of Liberia's Bang Mine Railway. The overseas market has opened up a second battlefield for the company's development.

The Liberian State Mine is located in the southwestern region of the central Liberian State and is a large open-pit iron mine. The Bong Mine Railway was built by the Germans in the 1950 s and uses German standards. Due to its service life, the steel bridge of the railway is seriously corroded, all the machine equipment is basically scrapped, and more than 90% of the sleepers need to be replaced.

After the company signed the contract for the restoration and operation of the Bong Mine Railway, it set up an overseas branch in Liberia, and made a detailed investigation of the internal and external conditions of the on-site railway and the ballast, sleeper and fuel oil required for construction, and formed a detailed restoration and operation plan in strict accordance with Chinese railway standards.

After six months of hard work, various tasks such as locomotive restoration, traffic organization system construction, port turnout repair, No.1 bridge restoration, No.2 bridge reconstruction and whole line renovation have been successfully completed. On August 31, 2023, the Bong Mine Railway was reopened on time.

After the opening of the Bong Mine Railway, the Liberian Company continued to maintain and repair the whole line. Bridge 2 was renovated, bridges 1, 3, 4 and 5 were strengthened, failed sleepers and failed fork sleepers at Station 3, Port Station and Bangfeng Station were replaced, and 26520 tons of refined iron powder were safely transported.

Hu Guangjin, chairman and general manager of the company, congratulated Liberia on its achievements. He hoped that all cadres and employees of Liberia would continue to work hard, improve safety awareness, maintain locomotives and lines, strengthen staff training and standardization construction, make all preparations, ensure the completion of the next stage of transportation tasks, and create more benefits for the company.
