Indonesia's Yawan high-speed rail train line begins track laying

Xinhua News Agency, Jakarta, April 20 (Reporter Yu Qianliang and Zheng Shibo) On the 20th, as the first 500-meter long rail was successfully laid on the Yawan high-speed rail line in Bandung County, West Java Province, Indonesia, the Yawan high-speed rail began to start track laying construction.

The total length of Yawan high-speed railway is 142 kilometers, and the total length of the main line is 279.4 kilometers. The ballasted track section is 112.8 kilometers and the ballastless track is 166.6 kilometers, all of which are 50 meters of steel rails produced in China. Domestic rails are transported to the track laying base of Yawan high-speed railway in Bandung County via domestic railways, sea transportation and railways in Indonesia. A full set of domestic equipment and advanced pulsating flash welding technology are used to weld 50 meters of rails into 500 meters of rails.

The track laying of the Yawan high-speed rail line is an important node in the construction of the Yawan high-speed rail, marking a solid step towards the track laying of the whole line in the construction of the Yawan high-speed rail. At present, 12 of the 13 tunnels on the Yawan high-speed railway have been completed, with more than 91% of the civil engineering work completed, more than 80% of the box girder erection completed, 74.6 of the 500-meter finished long rail welding completed, and steady progress in the station building, track laying and the "four electricity" projects after the station.

The Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail is a landmark project of the "Belt and Road" construction and practical cooperation between China and Indonesia. It is the first model project of my country's high-speed rail system, all elements, and the entire industry chain to land overseas. After the completion of the project, the travel time from Jakarta to Bandung will be shortened from more than 3 hours to 40 minutes.
