Building Defense Through Training, Promoting Safety Through Exercises—The Emergency Evacuation Drill of Wuhan Jinhuasheng Railway Locomotive Co., Ltd. Concludes Successfully
Release time:2026-02-02
To comprehensively assess the scientific validity and operational feasibility of the emergency response plan and to enhance the fire safety awareness and emergency response capabilities of all employees, on January 31, 2026, the Shangrao Project Department of Wuhan Jinhuasheng Railway Locomotive Co., Ltd. successfully organized an emergency evacuation drill at the railway traffic control building. The drill was conducted in a "sudden attack" manner, with no prior notification regarding the time, location, or type of incident, thereby genuinely testing the company's robust emergency evacuation capabilities.

This drill simulated an emergency scenario involving a sudden fire in the data room of the railway traffic control tower. Immediately after the fire broke out, Zhang Hai, the deputy manager of the project team, spotted the danger and promptly activated the emergency evacuation procedure, triggering the alarm throughout the building corridors. Evacuation guides Zhang Hai, Gong Zhihui, and Yang Shiju quickly took their positions, directing personnel to evacuate at critical corners. All participants remained calm and composed, strictly adhering to the evacuation guidelines—“cover mouth and nose, bend low, and avoid pushing or shoving”—and orderly moved along the pre-determined routes toward the emergency assembly point in the square in front of the signal tower.

The entire evacuation process was tense yet orderly, with timekeeper Wang Zhe accurately recording the data. In the end, all 37 participants were safely evacuated, taking only 59 seconds from start to finish. After the personnel assembled, each department promptly conducted a headcount to ensure that no one was left behind. Zhang Shuhe, the overall commander of the drill, provided commentary on this exercise, and the evaluation team conducted a comprehensive assessment based on various aspects, including personnel deployment, division of labor and cooperation, and organizational coordination.
This drill achieved remarkable results. Not only did it effectively verify the feasibility of the company’s emergency response plan, but it also enabled employees to enhance their emergency evacuation skills through real-world practice and strengthened their sense of responsibility for fire safety. During the drill, participants responded swiftly and cooperated seamlessly, fully demonstrating their excellent emergency preparedness. At the same time, the drill also revealed certain issues, such as insufficient safety awareness and slow response times among some personnel.

In response to the shortcomings identified during the drill, the company will further strengthen its improvement measures. The company will regularly conduct emergency training through weekly safety activities, with a particular focus on enhancing pre-job education for newly hired and transferred employees. We will comprehensively optimize evacuation routes and add prominent signage at key locations. We will also refine the system for stockpiling and inspecting emergency supplies, ensuring that fire-fighting equipment, first-aid kits, and other essential materials are readily available at all times. Furthermore, we will enhance coordination and collaboration between the leading and working groups to improve the effectiveness of emergency command and control.

Safety matters are never trivial; prevention is better than cure. This emergency evacuation drill serves as a real-world test of the company’s emergency management system and also provides a vivid, comprehensive safety education session for all employees. Moving forward, Wuhan Jinhuasheng Railway Locomotive Co., Ltd. will continue to conduct regular, realistic emergency drills on an ongoing basis, constantly honing the emergency response capabilities of every employee and effectively strengthening our safety production defenses to ensure the company’s high-quality development.
