Responding promptly to the call, we’re safeguarding safety and striving for excellence to kick off the year with a strong start. The Liangshan Port Project Department is implementing the company’s No. 1 Safety Alert for 2026 with a determined, all-out approach.
Release time:2026-03-04
Early warnings are orders; safety comes first above all else. To thoroughly implement the spirit of the Company’s Safety Committee’s No. 1 Safety Alert Notice for 2026 and firmly establish a robust safety defense line for the upcoming holiday period, on the evening of March 3—the Lantern Festival—every member of the Liangshan Port Project Team immediately entered a wartime state. With a sense of responsibility that leaves them “constantly concerned and vigilant,” they conducted a comprehensive, grid-like inspection for potential safety hazards along the railway lines, making every effort to ensure the safe and smooth operation of rail transportation. This initiative not only represents a comprehensive strengthening of our safety defenses but also serves as a powerful response to the company’s call to “start with a decisive battle and sprint from the very beginning.”

This operation marked the first large-scale, real-world exercise conducted following the company’s issuance of its No. 1 safety alert. In order to deeply learn from recent accidents in production safety—especially the fire and explosion incident that occurred on February 18 in Xiangyang—the Liangshan Port Station swiftly translated the “zero-defect” work standard into concrete actions. Building on the ongoing efforts to combat “two violations,” the station has now stepped up its implementation of the “four violations” requirements. That evening, inspection teams focused on key areas—including the vicinity of the station yard, green belts along both sides of the railway lines, junctions between storage yards and warehouses, and densely populated residential zones—employing a combination of “foot patrols plus targeted ambushes.” They carried out thorough cleanup of flammable materials such as weeds, dead branches, and plastic films both inside and outside the protective fences, and meticulously inspected for potential hazards like damaged or loose fence sections, ensuring that no blind spots or overlooked areas were left behind.

During the patrol, staff members simultaneously carried out safety awareness campaigns and patiently劝阻ed residents along the railway line from illegally setting off fireworks and firecrackers. A local resident commented on-site: “There’s a lot of flammable material around the railway, and even a single spark could easily ignite a fire. Thanks to your timely reminders, we feel much more at ease now!” As of that evening, the patrol team had completed full coverage inspections along the railway lines in their jurisdiction, cumulatively clearing more than ten locations of various flammable materials, rectifying two instances of damaged protective netting, and dissuading numerous cases of illegal firework and firecracker use.

While weaving a tight safety net, the Liangshan Port Station is maintaining highly efficient production operations. On the day of the Lantern Festival, the project team carried out scientific scheduling and coordinated command, handling a total of 25 train arrivals and departures, with 1,280 cars processed. They efficiently completed seven shunting operation batches, performing 46 shunting maneuvers—including 22 maneuvers for pushing and unloading coal and 24 maneuvers for hauling empty cars—and forming and dispatching 12 trains. With concrete actions and tangible results, they have embodied the philosophy that "strict management is genuine care, and safety is efficiency," ensuring smooth and efficient railway transportation during the holiday period and securing a strong start to the first quarter of 2026.

Next, Liangshan Port Station will continue to strengthen safety management during the holiday period, increase the frequency of patrols, closely monitor critical time periods and key areas, and further reinforce and solidify the railway safety protection network. At the same time, the station will strictly implement the company’s deployment for standardizing safe production, deepening the closed-loop management process of “planning → supervision → feedback → assessment → improvement →,” and proactively shifting the focus of risk prevention forward, thereby achieving a profound transformation in safety management toward “preemptive prevention and in-process control.” Taking this real-world exercise as a starting point, Liangshan Port Station will continue to consolidate its “strong start” achievements, ensuring railway transportation safety and safeguarding the lives and property of the public through practical actions and tangible results, thus providing robust support for the company’s high-quality development.
